That's A Fabulous Handbag

Ummkaaaay. This clutch is nice enough. It could be a nice little bag for cocktail hour or a casual party. But it's plastic, a bean shaped plastic clutch with an asking price of $1,385. To me that shows an unbelievable amount of conceit on the part of the label Pucci. The only labels that could get away with hawking a plastic box for more than a grand are Hermes and Chanel, and Pucci just isn't in their league.  This clutch doesn't look much different than the eyeglass boxes that come with designer frames, and they're free. If you like to throw away your money, this bag is at Net a Porter, $1,385.

I like to have a great handbag for every occasion, gym bag, beach bag, overnight bag.... For occasions when I need to carry a lot of stuff, a nice shopper is my first choice. It's not only big enough, but it's open top make it easy to get things in and out. This Pucci handbag is a great shopper, especially for the poolside. The colors are definitely spring and summer. It's coated geometric print canvas with soft grained leather trim. Available at Net a Porter, $660.

There are few designers that are as recognizable (without showing the label) than Pucci. The multi-color geometric print is their calling card, and a pretty on at that. These are the Emilio Pucci Convertible Satchels and what I like about them is the bright colors, especially the purple, and the handles. I LOVE the handles. What a great and unique place to insert your signature detail. These bags are multi functional, with removable straps allowing it to be either a satchel or a tote.

The larger satchel also comes in a bright pink. These bags are great for every day and year round wear, so you will definitely get your moneys worth. And in this economy, I definitely want my moneys worth.
