Happy New Year everyone! What better way to start the new year off on the right foot by showing your sense of style with a new handbag. This handbag is a great example, it's the Miu Miu Patent square tote and it exudes class and sophistication. I love the shiny white patent leather with gold tone hardware. You don't have to go as high priced as this bag to show your good taste, there are lots of great bags at lower price points.

This is a gorgeous Elliott Lucca Addison Tote and everything from the color, the braided handle and the drawstring accents are fantastic. This handbag is on sale for $260 at Piperlime..

This is the Furla Carmen XL Shopper and it is croc embossed leather and can carry everything, even a laptop. This is a great handbag for the business woman, it's classy and slightly conservative. $585 at Piperlime.

This is the Steven Colette North/South Hobo and it comes in this milk chocolate color as well as dark brown. I love the knotted detail throughout the bag. It's a soft leather bag. $258 at zappos.com .

This is the BIG BUDDAH Audrina clutch and it comes with a detachable chain strap so you can wear it over your shoulder or use it as a clutch. I think it's very chic. Only $85 at Endless.com

I always appreciate a handbag with a wooden handle. Gucci does it with their bamboo handle, and now Miu Miu has brought us this gorgeous treat. The rich, creamy leather goes perfectly with the brown handle and gold hardware. I think this is my favorite handbag of the month. It's perfect for my needs: large, shoulder strap, and beautiful. This Miu Miu Coral embellished handbag is a great everyday bag. It's quite big and it's a neutral color that will go with anything. As the sister brand of Prada, Miu Miu is quickly becoming one of the more exclusive labels of the high end market. At the Dallas Saks, their handbag and shoe sale last weekend had all brands on sale but Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu, which was quite disappointing.

I'm starting to see more and more sequins, just in time for the upcoming holidays. Miu Miu has some beautiful sequin shoes, and now this beautiful Paillette covered clutch. This is a fantastic, eye grabbing handbag for the evening. It is a bronze leather clutch with all over paillette detailing, and beautiful, pink silk lined interior. This Miu Miu clutch has a buckle wrist strap with a small heart logo charm and a long zip across the top. Available at Net a Porter, $420.

The Miu Miu spring 2009 handbag collection displayed an array of materials, shapes and sizes. There was an emphasis on exotics, which may drive up the cost of these bags when they hit the stores, but for those of you that can afford it, the investment may be well worth it. The bags are absolutely beautiful, and Miuccia Prada, the Miu Miu designer used top quality materials for this collection. The leather is soft and supple, and the snakeskin has nice, large diamonds. The use of snakeskin and croc in the same bag always up the wow factor for me.

In this collection, I love how her handbags are unstructured and soft. They are comfortable to wear or carry, as well as looking fabulous. Her Spring 2009 shoe collection was pretty great as well.

There are other patchwork bags out there this season, but the Miu Miu Nappa Patch Leather Bag gets it right with the intricate patchwork detailing. And I love the color as well! The rose leather is one of those colors that can flatter almost everyone. Whether you have dark or a light complexion, this color stands out and gives a chic and feminine touch to your overall look. The voluminous body of the purse leads way to the twisted shoulder strap, again perfect finishing touch on an already feminine and gorgeous handbag. The shape of this bag is perfect for everyday wear and features a zip fastening at the top and purple satin lining. I have found another fall bag that I must have! Available at Net a Porter, $1,445.

The Miu Miu Matelasse Lux Bag is stunning, its rich deep purple ruched leather body set off nicely against her silver-toned hardware. It's just an overall cool bag, from the braided top handle to the thick, plush body. This is a must have for Fall/winter. And it's Miu Miu, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands. $1,155 at Saks.

I like what Miu Miu is doing for Fall 2008. The gathered leather is different and it looks good.

This handbag is dark blue glossy leather.

It has a braided top handle and a shoulder strap(love both options for convenience).

It has a top flap and a push lock closure, BUT it doesn't have to lock. I usually don't like locks on bags, because they can be too much work to open. With this bag, the leather is soft, so the flap can lay over the opening and conceal the contents without having to use the lock.

I think it's reasonably priced at $1,445.
